Today I am wearing a ring finger manicure using Ciate’s Chinchilla with Mavala’s Treasure!
I decided to wear these shades together as I liked the juxtaposition of tones. The coolness of the pale grey toned blue of Ciate’s Chinchilla against the warm bronzed gold of Mavala’s Treasure! Beautiful!
I thought these shades together would be perfect in a ring finger manicure!
Ciate’s Chinchilla is a lovely muted pale blue, with just a hint of grey in the shade! I love this for an everyday neutral, as it goes well with so many colours and looks pretty under subtle glitters and special effect top coats after a few days of wear.
I picked up this shade originally in a Ciate Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar a year or two ago, and really loved the shade in my manicures so I ended up repurchasing the shade in a full size bottle too!
I quite like Ciate’s polish formula, it glides on the nail, with polish opacity in 2 coats, even using this pale shade. It also wears well, I get around 5 days from this formula before any serious signs of tip wear.
I don’t think this shade is part of Ciate’s core polish collection anymore, as it doesn’t seem to be available from Ciate’s website. However you can still pick it up in a mini size from Nail Polish Direct, if you want to try the shade.
For similar dupes, try Essie’s Cocktail Bling. I will definately have to pick up if this shade if my fears are founded and it’s discontinued.
Mavala’s Treasure is a lovely bronze toned rose gold metallic, which is sublime! This shade came to mind for my manicure after writing my post about Nails Inc’s Spring Launches, I found myself admiring the Mayfair Market shade from their Sweet Almonds collection!
I am really trying to stick to my one in one out polish policy in my stash, only picking up really unique shades in my collection. I am still toying with the idea of picking up the Nails Inc shade, but rifling through my stash I realised I had a similar shade in Mavala’s Treasure. I love it’s more coppery bronze tone to this rose gold, it’s super flattering and is so wearable. I have a few rose gold’s in my stash and this one is by far my favourite!
Mavala’s colour formulas are generally really good, especially their pearl shades like this. Super long wearing (I don’t see tip wear by day 5 with this formula) and not too many brush strokes on finish, which for a metallic polish is excellent. It leaves a really gleaming metallic manicure or in my case ring fingers!
The good news is Mavala’s Treasure is still available from Amazon if you want to pick up the shade.
Alternatively dupes of this shade are the Nails Inc Mayfair Market, the shade to splurge on if you can or you can save the pennies with Revlon’s Copper Penny! Both beautiful shades worthy in your manicures!
What do you think of my NOTD? Do you like the shades? Do you have any dupes for my shades? Let me know in the Comments below. I would love to know your suggestions.
