Today in my manicure I am wearing Topshop’s Nail Paint in Flying Saucer with Nails Inc’s Floral Effect polish in Chelsea Embankment Gardens over the top! A lovely duo, perfect for Easter!
Topshop’s Flying Saucer is a pretty pale lilac crème with silver shimmer running through it. A shade which I love to wear in my manicures all the time and a definite favourite from Topshop’s Nail Paint range.
Picking up Flying Saucer along with other Topshop pastels, I have amassed quite a variety of shades. I guess I love Topshop polishes! Anyone up for a Topshop Polish collection post?
I find this particular pastel shade needs around 3 thin coats for a true bottle shade. I tend to layer this polish up as it brings through the silver shimmer running through the polish, onto the nail, especially when light hits it. I find with Topshop polishes I get reasonable wear time too, with 3-4 days of wear before I get any minor tip wear.
The good news is this polish is still available in store and available from Topshop’s Website, if anyone wants to check it out.
Over the top I have layered Nail’s Inc’s Floral polish in Chelsea Embankment Gardens, a topper filled with pastel blue, lemon and pink daisy shaped matte glitter particles to finish off my Easter themed nail look.
This floral themed topper I picked up in a set from QVC in 2014, which had 4 different floral effect polishes with varying coloured floral shaped particles within each polish. I had a floral topper for most colour combinations. However, of the whole floral collection I picked up, this polish I find to be the most versatile floral and the one I get the most wear out of.
I find the best way to apply these polishes is using a dabbing action to the nail, fishing out the flower shapes and dabbing them into place.
I like this floral embellisment, especially when I’m short for time and nail art isn’t really an option to acheive the floral flourish I’m after. Another plus side to using this topper is the formula is a glitter like texture, making it a hard working polish, good for extending the wear time of your manicure.
I don’t think this 4 piece Floral collection is still available to buy, however this particular floral topper I’m wearing today is still available to buy individually from Nails Inc’s website.
Before I forget to say it, Happy Easter everyone! I hope you enjoy the day whether you celebrate Easter or not. I am planning on making the most of the day with friends and enjoying the bank holiday! I will also partake in a egg or two, a small dose of chocolatey goodness!
What do you think of my NOTD? Any similar shades or formulas to those I have used today? What are you wearing in your manicure this Easter? Let me know your thoughts down in the Comments below.
