Today in my manicure I am wearing Leighton Denny’s Nail Lacquer in Athena Divine!
Leighton Denny’s Athena Divine is a beautiful midnight blue infused with pink, blue and purple shimmer! This one needs to be seen to be believed, my pictures will never do this polish justice! I had some how lost this in the stash and randomly found it amongst my polishes the other day. It just had to make it into my manicure!
I initally picked this polish up in September last year, after seeing some of the pre-launch images of Leighton Denny’s I Am Goddess Collection. I was keen to get the shade, swiftly picking up the collection soon after.
I felt of all the shades in the collection, this was the one I wanted most. I love it’s beautiful midnight toned blue with it’s added multi coloured shimmer, a fairly unique shade to add into my collection!
The formula of Leighton Denny polishes are usually pretty good, but this one is really good, especially for a shimmery shade. I get full coverage with 2 even coats and it’s extremely pigmented. The pink, blue and purple shimmer really looks fabulous and stands out, with the deep blue base of the polish setting off the shimmer. It really scintillates in the light!
I found that I got around a weeks worth of wear from my polish, only really showing any tip wear by the 6th day. It also removed easily and didn’t stain my nails, even with its highly pigmented formula. The true sign of a professional polish brand!
Finding exact dupes for this shade are difficult, mainly due to the shimmer in the polish as it really makes it stand out from the crowd. But the most similar shade I have seen is Zoya’s Ibiza, a lovely alternative.
The good news is this limited edition polish is that it’s still available to pick up from Nail Polish Direct and Amazon if you want to pick it up. It’s also available from Leighton Denny’s website (although it’s slightly more expensive.)
What do you think of my NOTD? Do you like my manicure shade? Do you know of any cheaper dupes or other similar shades? Let me know your thoughts down in the Comments below.
