They sound odd when you describe them, but a mannequin hands manicure are the perfect low maintenance nail look!It seems that this trend has rolled around the past few seasons, and the look isn’t going anywhere. Flesh toned talons appeared on nails in various catwalk collections for A/W 15/16 and nude toned polish releases are coming from both drugstore and higher end brands, clearly this look is here to stay!
The look is so easy to recreate at home. Grab yourself a polish shade that matches your skin tone and snap – you’re nails will be fashionable, go with everything you wear and will also be extremely work appropriate. This look is definitely a no-brainer!
Celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann, created a shade called ‘Fashion’, (on the right in the image) which she used on the Marchesa catwalk shows in 2010, a perfect pale nude shade for fair skin tones to get the look.
A beautiful natural looking shade! Another lovely mannequin shade that is absolutely gorgeous also from Deborah Lippmann is Naked, (on the left in the image) is slightly too darker nude on me, but still looks polished and pristine, like a mannequin!
The most recent re-incarnation of the mannequin hands look is Louboutin’s nude polish collection which he released within the last year.
But don’t feel you need to go high end to get the look, there is so many ranges and colours to choose from to get that perfect nude toned shade for your soon to be mannequin hands.

If you’re used to wearing bold shades on your nails, nude toned mannequin hands are a big leap and take a bit of getting used to. But after time, your eyes adjust to your chosen barely there shade and you will grow to like it, hopefully! I must admit it did take me some time!
