IN THE NUDE

I love nude shades of polish. These are colours one can throw on absolutely with no caution and need not worry of clashing or any mis matching. So many different kinds of formulas too, glossy and matt shades giving different kinds of effects. The most versatile of all my colour collections. If I am honest its possibly only within the last few years I have been appreciating what nudes bring to the so called polish table.

My first hurrah into nudes was the shade So Simple from No7’s stay perfect nail polish range. A lovely opaque nude with a lovely pale and natural nude colour which suited me down to the ground. A great budget option.
Topshop’s nail polish option of the nude variety came in Nice n Neutral, a barely there shade with enough of semi gloss formula to know it is there. I picked it up on my travels needing a nude on the go and I am sure glad I did.
For those nail polish aficionados, you will be already aware of OPI’s Nail Envy with added colour, what a great idea! I discovered this formula with the Nearly Nude shade and I cried with delight for all of the saved minutes I would gain back in my manicure. Perfect for those work days or mornings when you get up to late, perfect quick manicure in a bottle.

Nails inc really brings it when it comes to nude polishes for me. Classics like Porchester Square, are really the perfect nude/greige shade and had me like putty in their hand from as soon as I had tried the shade.
For those looking for more nude beiges, Colville Mews is that perfect in-between. Also looks great with sparkly topcoat if you are a magpie like me.
Another hard to get shade from them is the shade Westbourne Park Road, a lovely nude/beige with an ever so slight lilac tone. This is similar to the Alexa shade from them but I find it’s more wearable and I admire my own nails when I wear this shade.
My favourite autumn nude is a much duskier affair with the shade Thurloe Place, the last of my picks. This is from Nails Inc’s standard range and is a dusky toned pink nude with a slight shimmer. This is perfect for those early autumn days, I always get it out once it rolls around to that time of year. This colour is so perfect for those darker skin tones too, a true darker nude.

What are your nude toned polish picks? Let me know in the comments. There must be other shades I need in my collection. Also any handy nude dupes or suggestions would be welcome.
