With Easter around the corner I can’t help but feel the need to change things up nail wise! As the seasons change things are looking that tad bit brighter, on the most part. I say this as I look out my window it’s tipping it down and it’s a generally all round grey day. I think that has more to do with being here in Ireland, as it rains a lot here!
But I do find myself in a brighter frame of mind due to all the lovely soft pastel shades that are coming through in all the Spring collections. But today we are getting inspiration for nails for Easter, be it shopping the stash, colour inspiration and nail collections to pick up and nail the look. No excuse not to have a manicure this Easter weekend!
Looking through my collection I have a lot of pastel shades that really look perfect in an Easter inspired manicure. I have selected a few shades to swatch, to get a sense of what they look like and how they look together! These would be perfect in an egg-cellent Easter manicure. Pardon the pun!
These shades are a range of pretty iced pastels, perfect for Spring! Starting from left to right on my nails below we have Princes Place from Nails Inc, Lucky Lilac from No7’s Stay Perfect range, Nails Inc’s Cornwall Road, Ciate’s Nail Polish in Loop the Loop and Barry M’s Nail Paint in Peach Melba.
FYI:All these shades in my swatches are still readily available other than the Nails Inc shades, these in the most part are colour exclusives in sets from QVC. If you are really after any of the Nails Inc shades I would try Ebay.
I have 2 other shades I wanted to apply but I didn’t have enough fingers! Both from Nails Inc’s in the shades Bloomsbury Way -a cool toned baby pink and Wembley – a pale baby blue. I love these colours and it’s nice to pull them out now we are into Spring!
For similar shades on a budget, try Barry M’s Gelly Hi-Shine range, they have tonnes of iced pastels in a range of different tones and more subtle off whites. Take you pick to dupe these shades! You may have similar shades in your own stash, why not pull them out and save the pennies!
If you want to splurge and pick up some new ranges from the Spring collections, try OPI’s Soft Shades Pastels for 2016, perfect for Easter and would work so well in all of the Easter nail art looks you could create.
Another even Spring-ier collection is Deborah Lippmann’s Sweets for my Sweet Mini Collection, which is a tad brighter but something that can be worn well into the Summer months, or be mixed with some of the paler pastels in any range of looks.
