I love blue nails, especially dusky toned hues of stonewash, daring denims and deep indigo blues! Browsing my usual online haunts I had noted all the Denim Inspired Nails in various collections in recent times, with so many gorgeous jeanious shades I was dying to try!
Looking to nail the trend without having to break into my polish piggybank, when I saw these more purse friendly options I thought why not!
Double denim or the Canadian Tuxedo, is a trend in full motion with the style of the 70’s and 90’s in full revival. It is definately a good time for lovers of denim!
I see myself more and more often being drawn to denim as a whole, different shades, both in my clothes and in my makeup choices especially when it comes to my nails (not including blue eyeshadow – no way!!!) I think I just love painting my nails any shade of blue!
This inspired me to share the latest denim inspired polish launches gaining my interest along with some old favourite denim toned shades from my stash. Get yourself ready to dig denim!
IsaDora, one of my favourite pharmacy makeup brands, has released their Jeanious polish range for Spring 2016.
A 6 piece denim inspired collection using a combination of their Wondernail, Velvet Matt and Sugar Nails formulas, giving varying denim styles for the nails.
These look really interesting polishes with the various polish textures and finishes, even just looking at the added nail art inspiration (pictured above) you could really get creative with these polishes!
Shades include Stone Washed, Bootcut, Slim Fit, Hot Legs, Rugged Wear and Flared for all your denim nail needs! Available now from all good IsaDora stockists instore or alternatively from Feel Unique retailing at £8.95 each.
Topshop Nails are one of my favourite polish brands to pick up, often browsing their polish stands after perusing their denim section. When I heard they were launching a denim inspired polish range, I was excited as I hadn’t picked up any new shades from the range in ages, especially blue hues!
Named after their best selling denim styles, Lucas, Hayden, Joni, Mom, Jamie and Leigh are a beautiful range of denim toned hues perfect to adorn your nails with!
The Topshop Denim Nail Collection is available now instore and Topshop online, priced at £6, check the range now!
My final denim based launch is Catrice’s Denim Divine collection for Spring 2016, a gorgeous denim themed makeup collection including a denim shade calling my name! (pictured below)
The entire makeup collection looks really good after seeing previews online, but I haven’t had chance to pick anything up yet as they have only hit stores in last week.
All the polish shades look gorgeous, a pretty capsule wardrobe of shades you could wear year round and with Catrice’s prices you could pick up the entire collection guilt free! Priced at €3.50, these polishes are a steal!
These will only be available till the middle of May and are available from all good Catrice stockists and Penney’s stores (Ireland.) If you want these best get your skates on!
Last time I tried Catrice polishes I was so pleased with the wear time and quality, which for the price they are really excellent value. If you have never tried Catrice polishes, give them whirl!
More Denim Inspiration
A couple of years back we had plenty of higher end denim toned polish shades coming from both Chanel and Nails Inc, which if I am honest I missed first time around!
With these denim inspired Chanel polishes with extremely limited availability due to their new polish reformulation, I doubt I will be able to pick up the collection unless I pick them up via eBay. However Nails Inc’s Denim Effect nail polish is still available, I may pick it up at some point!
Denim Inspired Nails From My Stash
Anyway to tide over my denim nail cravings, I have a handful of blue nail polishes shades washes perfect for a quick Saturday swatch session!
Looking to all my blues in my stash, I found a nice array of shades, perfect for every denim wash look on the nails!
Left to Right Thumb to Pinky:
Barry M Daylight Curing Nail Paint in You Drive Me Navy
Essence Valentine – Who Cares? Nail Polish in Talk To The Hand
Nails Inc’s Nail Polish in The Little Boltons
Leighton Denny High Performance Nail Colour in Between Blue
Nails Inc’s in Princes Place
All these dusky toned blue washes look gorgeous on the nail, I think I will have to pick my favourite for a manicure or alternatively leave my denim ombre manicure. What do you think?
Anyhow, whether you shop your stash for denim inspired nails shades or pick up some new denim inspired polishes, do give these shades a go in a manicure. Nails do look divine in denim!
