As we come into a new season of colour and nail polish change, it is that time again to encapsulate and consolidate all our seasonally appropriate shades and pop them into my metaphorical Capsule Nail Wardrobe – Winter 2015 Edition.
I have found the last few months, having a capsule nail wardrobe is so useful. I definitely got the benefit out of this handy selection or edit when in doubt of what to wear on my nails!
There are certain shades I found I wore more that others so I am keeping those in as I found them extremely versatile.
This Winter edit of polish colours will build upon the colours we selected in Autumn and add a subtle hint of colour to mix. The lighter shades adding balance to the palette. At this point in time (the depths of Winter) you maybe dying for a spot of colour. I know I am! As much as I love neutral nail colours, you cannot beat a bright or statement nail.
These polishes will suit whatever you are wearing, whatever the occasion and fashion style you choose to rock this season.
If you take a look at my Autumn Edition of my Capsule Nail Wardrobe, there are several shades that will definitely sticking around till the Spring.
Darker shades like Khaki Green, Deep Wine, Navy Blue and Bold Red shades are keepers, being excellent staples to have in your nail wardrobe. Also the lighter shades like Dusty Pink and Nude shades are foundation polish colours which work throughout the year and can be updated when seasonally appropriate.
MY NEW SHADES FOR THE SEASON
New additions to my Winter capsule nail wardrobe include Greige tones, Lilac toned grey and mauves which add a slight hint of colour to a neutral nail shade.
Also Coffee and Chocolate shades add a richness to your manicure.
For a trending splash of colour, you cannot go wrong with Rose Quartz or Blue Serenity, the Pantone Colours of the Year.
These shades have been reoccuring the last few fashion seasons, you may probably have similar shades to pull out of your collection and bring to the forefront.
Also beautiful Soft Apricot and Peach tones along with Cool Peppermint add a hint of colour and warmth to your manicure.
I already have some shades in mind for the Spring edit so as soon as we are seasonally appropriate, I will post them on the blog. The shades I have forecast for Spring are super bright and will redefine your capsule nail wardrobe. I cannot wait!
