Since the clocks went forward I can’t deny things are just so much brighter, it really makes so much of a difference. I am loving being able to leave the apartment with a lighter layer when I go for a walk, my sunglasses tend to be applied to the face when the sun decides to put in an appearance! I have also enjoyed shopping for clothes with the new SS16 collections out, with colour rather than the usual darkened winter hues of late. It’s a real breath of fresh air and so much more choice of colour in clothing! These latest weather changes have inspired me to update my Capsule Nail Wardrobe for Spring!
I also cannot believe where the year has gone, it’s been 6 months since I did the Autumn capsule nail wardrobe edit. Mad stuff, seriously where does the time go!?!
As we come into a new season of colour and nail polish change, it’s that time again to encapsulate and consolidate all our seasonally appropriate edit of shades. This Spring edit of polish colours is building upon the colours we selected in the previous seasons, pulling some shades out, adding new shades in and generally mixing things up a bit in the nail stakes!
I have found the last 6 months, having a capsule nail wardrobe of shades has been a real winner of an idea. If you are anything like me, hundreds of polish shades to choose from, having my capsule edit of polish shades for the season to choose from makes selecting manicure colours a breeze. Between my seasonal edits and shopping my own stash, I am really getting the use out of my polish stash. I am loving rediscovering polish favourites and truly getting the benefit out of my polish collection.
Core Shades in our Capsule Wardrobe
Looking back across the last Autumn and Winter edits, it’s time to take stock are our transitional core shades, these are the polishes that can stick around for the foreseable.
Bold Red’s, Nudes, Deep Wine’s, Greige’s and Dusky Pink toned polishes really can be worn throughout the seasons and will remain in the polish rotation for Spring and beyond!
